Ahhh the internet... I remember when the internet became popular in the 90s. It was well known that everyone lied on the internet (we picked a fake name, lied about where we lived, and created a fantasy) fast forward to now and anyone can become an expert.
We believe influencers who tell you they know best... we believe the fake news that is spread online and what it all comes down to is manipulation, we are being brainwashed with fake news. It’s not bad for someone trying to sell something or wants to get their point across, however, bad people can easily hide online and because we are so used to trusting and watching social media, it is easy for people to become victims.
Look at all those catfish shows, the women who get romanced scammed (deep down they must have known he wasn’t real but wanted love so bad they ignored the signs). We can look at elections and politicians, yes I am talking about a certain US president, who talks so much crap that he puts his audience into a trance and they end up agreeing with him! I had a migraine listening to his babble. But in saying that it worked! he kept saying over and over again that he didn’t do it, ’i didn’t do it’... ‘it’s their fault’... and people believed him.
It’s time we all start to listen to our intuition again. You know what i am talking about, that little voice that tells you that it looks like rain is coming and you should grab your umbrella... the voice that warns you about your friend who laughs a little too loud at your husband's jokes... the voice that has been waiting patiently for you to start listening again.
How about instead of listening to what other people are telling you, about how they think you should be living your life, you do what you want to do and what feels right for you. Take a break from the news, take a break from social media, and go and talk to a REAL person. We are human beings and are meant to be social, not sitting in our house staring at the screen.
