Incoming Upgrade: Creation is Your Power Source
Have you ever stopped to think about what it really means to create? So often, the word "creation" is tied to art—paintings, sculptures, music, and dance. And while art is undeniably an act of creation, it’s deeper then that!
Let’s break it down.
To create is to bring something into existence that wasn’t there before—an idea, a solution, a meal, a conversation, a garden, or even a business. It’s about pouring a part of yourself into what you do, infusing your energy, your expression, and your passion into the task at hand. When you’re truly creating, you’re not just doing something; you’re tapping into your power source and leaving your imprint on the world!
Creation vs. Consumerism
This is my Youniverse and as you read this it’s your Youniverse! I’m working within myself to use my power source to transform consumerism into creation! Why?!
Here’s where it gets interesting. We live in a world dominated by consumerism. We’re conditioned to buy, consume, repeat. But what if we shifted our focus? What if instead of consuming, we prioritized creating? What if we chose to put our time, energy, and resources into making something meaningful instead of merely acquiring things?
This isn’t just a philosophical question. It’s an invitation to a new way of living and working. When you embrace creation, you’re saying, "I choose to contribute rather than consume. I choose to express myself authentically rather than conform. I choose to make something of value rather than simply take."
Creation is Your Power Source
Now, here’s the beautiful part: creation isn’t just a hobby or a pastime. It can be your livelihood.
When you bring your passion and authenticity into what you do, you’re not just working; you’re creating. And when others see the value in what you’ve created, they’re willing to exchange their resources—their money, their time, their attention—for it. That’s the essence of creation as a power source.
But let’s be clear: getting paid to create isn’t about monetizing your hobbies or forcing your passions into business models. It’s about aligning your work with who you truly are. It’s about showing up as your passionate, authentic self and allowing your creations to resonate with the world around you. Whether you’re designing a product, writing a book, cooking a meal, or leading a project, the magic happens when you infuse it with your unique essence.
Self-Expression as the Foundation
At the heart of creation is self-expression. Art, in its many forms, teaches us this truth: when we express ourselves authentically, we create something powerful and meaningful. But self-expression isn’t limited to traditional art forms. It’s present in how you solve problems, how you communicate, how you decorate your home, and how you approach your relationships.
The more we bring self-expression into what we do, the more we tap into our ability to create. And the more we create, the closer we get to living a life that feels fulfilling and aligned with who we truly are.
A Mantra for the Journey
This brings us to a mantra, a guiding affirmation to keep us on track: I get paid to create.
Repeat it to yourself:
I get paid to create.
I get paid to express my authentic self.
I get paid to bring my passion into everything I do.
But before you adopt this mantra, understand its deeper meaning. It’s not just about financial exchange; it’s about honoring the value of what you bring to the world. It’s about recognizing that when you show up as your passionate, authentic self, you’re creating something unique and worthy of appreciation.
Planting the Seed
This is the seed I want to plant today: the idea that creation is your ultimate power source. A life where your work, your passions, and your authenticity converge. A life where you truly get paid to create.
Start small. Look for ways to bring self-expression into your daily tasks. Honor the value of what you’re creating, no matter how simple or complex. And as you move forward, let this mantra guide you: I get paid to create. Because when you live from a place of passion and authenticity, creation becomes not just what you do, but who you are.
